Versus Finance was delighted to be invited by Close Finance CI — headline sponsors of the Muratti — to attend the 2022 Muratti Weekend at Springfield Stadium, Jersey.
The invitation included a formal lunch and attendance at the Jersey FA’s Muratti fixture, reflecting the close ties within the local financial community.
The men’s final ended Jersey 1–0 Guernsey, sealed by a second-half header from Lorne Bickley. Attendance was around 1,600 supporters, underscoring the fixture’s enduring importance across the islands.
The Muratti Cup remains a cornerstone of inter-insular sport, uniting Jersey, Guernsey and Alderney in a rivalry that dates back to 1905 — with recent editions supported under Close Finance CI’s multi-year title partnership.
